The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed – but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided. The docking station has a handy LCD screen that displays the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution. Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. It's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss. The Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat. It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-refilling. The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause scratches. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise. 3. Dreame X40 The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. The app lets you make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list – at 4kg – but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
